Norway

Seems like September is a good month for mixing fishing and filming after all. In Norway shooting and directing for an interesting documentary, so thought it rude not to extend my stay to explore one of Norway’s amazing rivers for a few days. I found myself on the Glomma in search of one of my favourite species, the grayling. The Glomma is just the most incredible river and there’s something about this terrain that really resonates, probably stirring my inner Canadian.

You can wade for miles as I did, with nothing but the occasional sound of moose for company, and the odd grayling, although only small ones for me this time. I can’t wait to re visit this truly beautiful place in 2024. The people here are very easy going and I found myself making friends with an old dutch fella, who’s been travelling to the Glomma in search of grayling for the last twenty five years.
